Franz Josef Emergency Response Team
The communitie emergency response will be managed by the Response Team, Police, St John, and Fire Service who will all be working together at the Medical Centre.
They have been trained and know what to do in these situations and will have communication with the outside world.
- If you smell gas/petrol, do not light any fires.
- Hang a white sheet or light-coloured sheet at the front of your house if assistance is not
required. - Earthquakes, floods, and landslides are all likely to damage roads and bridges.
- Make no attempt to drive through floodwaters.
- Take extra care driving in strong winds.
- Unnecessary or uninstructed road travel should be reduced so
that repair and recovery service can be more effective. - Listen for road closure information on the radio (94.5 FM).
